At Fireside Log Homes, we take great pride in the quality of our logs. We use Eastern White Pine that is grown primarily right here in North Georgia. All of our logs and exterior beams and rafters are also treated with an environmentally safe process that virtually eliminates log wall shrinking and settling, reduces log checking (cracking), and acts as an insect repellent. All of our logs are grade certified to TPI standard log wall 40 or better (the log home industry standard).

Log Profiles

Fireside Log Homes offers a variety of log profiles. Our most popular profile, the "D" Log, comes in three different widths, 4, 6, and 8 inches. We carry a 6 x 8 Round on Round, (double "D" Log) and an 8 x 6 Round on Round. We offer rectangular logs in three profiles, 8 x 6, 10 x 6, and 12 x 6. All of our log profiles are treated with our patented wood treatment system, Process 2000. Because of this process, we are able to offer a lifetime warranty on our product.

Matching exterior log siding and interior tongue & groove paneling are available for all log profiles.

Corner Systems

Fireside Log Homes understands that you want a log home that is trouble free.  Our corner details are designed to do just that!  Whether it's the "positive drip lip" that helps direct the water away from the horizontal joint or our dovetail oak splines that provide a permanent air seal at vertical joints, you get features that have proven themselves over many years of use.  We only us 3/8" lag screws to fasten our logs together.  This is twice the size and strength as is commonly used.  We also use a powerful polyurethane sealant between our logs.
